Okonomiyaki

We had a very quiet day today. Josh is sick with a cold and we had a tonne of washing to catch up on as well as getting ready for training to start tomorrow.

I went to the supermarket by myself today with no major hiccups, my only mistake was buying mandarins instead of oranges from the fruit stall below our apartment.

Even though Josh was feeling sick he still cooked us a delicious meal of okonomiyaki! Okonomiyaki is a cross between a crepe and a pancake and is served with kewpie sauce, like mayonnaise, and a BBQ like sauce. It was Hiroshima style, so a little different to what we’ve had before. It used eschallots, cabbage, bean shoots and pork and egg. It was so yummy! I can’t wait to try it at a restaurant too to see what else we could put in.

I also used my fanta bottle from yesterday to put the roots from the challots in, so they should be growing in no time!
